In this study, a comparative test of iron oxide red pigments from various manufacturers in raw antique glaze was carried out. The experimental results show that iron oxide red pigment with specification 130 is more suitable for the production of black glaze materials, and its blue value is better than that of 190 iron red. Summary Iron oxide red pigment is usually introduced in the form of colorant, which directly affects the quality of the product. It is very important to choose the appropriate iron oxide red product for the production of ceramic pigments. In the brown series of products should choose the appearance of bright red yellow iron red products, and in the glaze with black products, should choose the appearance of bright and dark purple iron red products. Especially in the formula design of zirconium red glaze and coral red raw material, iron oxide red products produced by nitric acid method must be selected.
